Reference
Every public name of the three ecosystems, with its signature as the source declares it and one line on what it does. Each ecosystem has its own pages; the concepts explain the ideas and the guides show the names at work.
opentele2.td, opentele2.tl, opentele2.api, devices, fingerprints, consistency checks, browser
fingerprints, exceptions and the opentele2._native extension module.
The opentele2 exports by area, from tdata to error codes, and the opentele2/mtcute and
opentele2/telethon subpaths.
opentele2-core, opentele2-browser, opentele2-versions and opentele2-grammers: modules, main
types, functions and features.
One core, three surfaces
The three packages share one Rust core, so a name in one ecosystem usually has a twin in the others.
| Task | Python | Node | Rust |
|---|---|---|---|
| Load a tdata folder | TDesktop("tdata") | loadTdata | TData::load |
| Telethon string session | telethon_ | telethonStringSession | telethon:: |
| mtcute string session | mtcute_string_session | toStringSession | mtcute::StringSession |
.session + .json pair | SaveSessionJson | saveSessionPair | telethon_file |
| Official API profile | API.TelegramDesktop | profile | api::profile |
| Generated device | Generate | generate | api::generate |
Validate initConnection | validate_ | validateInitParams | validate_init_params |
| Consistency checks | RunConsistencyChecks | runConsistencyChecks | run_consistency_checks |
| Browser headers | HeaderGenerator | generateHeaders | generate_headers |
| Live client versions | fetched on import | fetchVersions | fetch_all |
The Rust names live in opentele2-core, except run_consistency_checks (opentele2-grammers,
feature client), generate_headers (opentele2-browser) and fetch_all
(opentele2-versions); runConsistencyChecks and toStringSession come from opentele2/mtcute.
Many names here take or return auth keys, session strings and tdata folders. Each of them is a logged-in account: keep them out of logs, issues and commits.
